TENSE

SIMPLE FUTURE TENSE ( yang akan terjadi )
A.  Pola Kalimat Simple Future Tense

(+) Subject + will/shall +verb 1 + object
(-) Subject + will/shall + not + verb1 + object
(?) Will/shall + subject + verb 1 + object

Contoh Kalimat Simple Future Tense:
(+) I will eat rice tommorow
(-) I will not eat rice tommorow
(?) will you eat rice tomorrow?

B.     Penggunaan Simple Future Tense
Pola Simple Future Tense digunakan untuk menyatakan perbuatan yang akan dilakukan.
Contoh:
Ø  I shall visit you tomorrow. (Saya akan mengunjungimu besok.)
Ø  She will come here tomorrow. (Dia akan datang ke sini besok.)
C.  Keterangan waktu
·         tommorow: besok
·         next        : yang akan dating
·         later        : kemudian
·         tonight    : malam ini
SIMPLE PRESENT TENSE ( yang sedang terjadi )
A.  Pola kalimat simple present tense
(+) Subject + verb1 (s/es) + object
(-) Subject + do/does + not + verb1 + object
(?) Do/does + subject + verb1 + object
Example :
(+) He reads a book every day. 
(-) He does not reads a book every day.
(?) Does he read a book every day?
B.  Penggunaan simple present tense
Ø  Untuk kegiatan sehari – hari
Ø  Untuk kebiasaan
Ø  Untuk kebenaran umum

C.  Keterangan waktu
·         Now   : sekarang

SIMPLE PAST TENSE ( yang sudah terjadi )
A.      Pola Kalimat
(+) Subject + verb 2 + object
(-) Subject + did + not + verb 1 + object
(?) Did subject + verb 1 + object
Example :
(+) He closed the door
(-) He did not lose the door
(?) Did he close the door?
B.      Penggunaan simple past tense
Ø  Untuk menyatakan kejadian yg terjadi di masa lampau

C.      Keterangan waktu
  • yesterday : kemarin
  • last week : minggu lalu
  • last year : tahun lalu
